At the end of the summer term we said goodbye to our Year 6 cohort with a LeaversFest for all the family and were delighted that so many families came along to enjoy the evening. After a special assembly pupils and their families together with members of staff from across the school enjoyed food, drinks and games on the field. It has been wonderful to have the Year 6 cohort with us until the end of KS2 and we are delighted and very proud of their great SATS results. We wish them all happiness and success in their next schools!
Year 6 pupils took part in the Virgin Money "Make £5 Grow" scheme during the summer term which enabled them to hone their entrepreneurial skills. Well done to everyone for your hard work!
Budding scientists wowed us with their experiments at the first Storrington Primary School science fair. Children from Y3 to Y6 brought in their own experiments to share with the school and parents. Well done to everyone that took part and supported the day.
We are delighted to be working with the Dogs Trust who visited the school during February to run workshops to teach children how to be safe around dogs.
Young singers from Storrington Primary School joined thousands of others in Young Voices 'Sing Up' this January held at the O2, London. The aim of the event organisers is to hold ' a musical experience for children that they will benefit from and remember for the rest of their lives'. It is a truly extraordinary and magical experience - well done to all our pupils who took part!
