Hot School Lunches




Free School Meals (FSM)

If you are in receipt of certain benefits you could be eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) which will enable your child to have free meals (regardless of their age).  By confirming your eligibility for FSM the school will receive additional funding each year, currently £1,320 per annum, which will be used to support learning and also cover the annual cost your child’s school trips.

Universal Infant Free School Meals - for children in Reception, Year 1 and 2

Children in Reception, Years 1 and 2 are entitled to a free hot lunch.  Please let the school know if your child will be eating these (or if they currently have a hot lunch but will be changing to packed lunches) as the school will be charged for any meals that are ordered and not required.     To find out more please contact Mel in the school office.  


Hot Lunches - Years 3 - 6

Hot lunches need to be booked directly through Chartwells - please visit their website:


FSM and UIFSM do NOT need to be booked with Chartwells however you do need to tell the school which meals your child will be eating in order that we are not charged for meals that are not required.


Packed lunches are eaten in the school hall and, when warm enough, outside during the summer months.  

Fruit and Water

Healthy fruit/vegetable snacks are provided by the government for all children in Reception , Year 1 and Year 2. We encourage children in other year groups to bring in their own healthy morning snack.
All pupils are encouraged to bring in a named water bottle each day.
